    Hi there,

I’d like to build review tables in different languages. I read that the title of the review pages should be different in each language. I cannot change the order as the target language has the same word order in the source language. I do not want to add extra words such as ” DE & ES ” as it shows like this on the front end: https://prnt.sc/psb6hf

    Any tips for this one?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Emre,

I tried to understand your problem but with no luck… You mention review tables translation but in your screenshot I can see text in a content area?
Can you please give me more details?

    Hi,

Sure. So in order to make a review table, the title of the reviews should be different – as far as I understand.

So, to make a page like this (https://prnt.sc/psq0g5) the German title should be different than the English one so the users do not see the English texts.

However, when I change the title – the title in the review content area changes to this: https://prnt.sc/psb6hf

for instance, I do not want to make H1’s with “Casimba Casino DE, Casimba Casino ES ” on review pages. These should stay as ” Casimba Casino ” but as there is also an English page with the same title ” Casimba Casino ” the review table displays the English one. So I am wondering if there is any other way?

I hope this one is more clear than the previous one 🙂

    Hi Emre,

In order to make your site multilingual there are several plugins available.
For example WPML is one of the most popular. When creating a page with WPML in different languages each page is completely editable, content editor and custom fields.
So you can have completely different versions of each page for each language and there is no need to have H1 titles like “Casimba Casino DE, Casimba Casino ES”

Hi, yes but as I said I do not want that. If I change the titles, the content area changes here: https://prnt.sc/psb6hf – I do not want to display the casino reviews as Spinit Casino DE, Spinit Casino ES to my readers. I have also written that above.

    Any other way?

But the titles should also be translatable via WPML. I don’t understand why you should translate them and add the DE,ES to the end.
Are you using WPML? Please be more specific about your setup and your configuration.

I really do not how to be more specific.

I want to create ” SINGLE REVIEW XL ” for German version: https://prnt.sc/pv3uwm

I want to display LeoVegas Casino: https://prnt.sc/pv3v5o

The title is ” LeoVegas Casino ” the same in German as it is in English — LeoVegas Casino translated as LeoVegas Casino.

Boom! It displays English version on my German site: https://prnt.sc/pv3vj9

    ————–

I can change the LeoVegas Casino to LeoVegas Casino DE and then write it as ” LEOVEGAS CASINO DE ” in the ” SINGLE REVIEW XL ” section BUT I don’t want it to be displayed on review content area as LeoVegas Casino DE.

It looks really bad considering that there are 4 languages. All of them have locale codes (DE, ES, FI) after the casino name.

I hope this is more clear. Thanks in advance,

    Hi,

From your screenshots now I think that I understood what is wrong.
If the review title in two different languages is exactly the same then there is no way the shortcode to understand which version of the review to load because you don’t pass the ID but the title.

A solution I can think of is to add another fallback parameter for the post ID so you can pass a specific review ID in the shortcode for such cases.
We will add this in the next version of PokaTheme!

Thank you. We are going to have NZ – CA versions of the site where the title will remain the same as well. It would be awesome if you can add this in the next version 🙂

Could you please tell me more about how to add another fallback parameter? Or any guides that I can use, googled but couldn’t find anything.
