    Hi Poke,

    I am using Site map via Yoast plugin and getting this error:

    This page contains the following errors:
    error on line 2 at column 6: XML declaration allowed only at the start of the document
    Below is a rendering of the page up to the first error.

    I am using Yoast on my other 50+ websites, and non of them show this error.
    I also tried using other Sitemap plugins, all of them show the same error.

    Please assist.

    Hi!

    It seems that you’ve made changes to the theme and there is an output of an empty character before the initial output.
    You can see it in your sitemap that the XML code is starting from line 2 and not from line 1.

    As you can see in a demo (http://pokav2.pokatheme.com/demo1/sitemap_index.xml) there are no issues with Poka v2.
    Please check the changes in your theme.

    Where is it? Where should I look for and what to looks for?

    Hi!

    I can’t be sure what changes you’ve made to the theme, but from my experience the first files you have to check it header.php and functions.php.
    Something you added is adding a blank character before the initial output.
    You can try to remove temporary the custom code from functions.php or header.php of your child theme just to locate the issue.
