Hi Antonis, I have a small question regarding Statcounter. I recently redesigned my site which is now on Poka V2.
I always used Statcounter and never had any problems.Yesterday I had no visitors at all. So I checked analytics and had visits and people online. It disabled plugins but it stayed the same.
Statcounter suggested me to put the code in the header. I Installed a Header/Footer plugin and placed the script in the header section and saw hits again.I am not a fan of placing scripts in the header.
Do you have a solution for me to place the Script in the footer again but without issues.
I tried their plugin which gave me the same issues.
I also received amp warnings now about it so need to change it.One more question.
Do you have suggestion regarding shortcodes? Is this something you might add in future updates?
I use the same tables at a lot of pages and its lots of work if they need to change.
If I can create shortcodes for a table I only need to be at one place.
Or maybe tags could be an option? I dont wanna create tons of categories you knowSorry for my bad English. Holland here (:

Regarding Statcounter you have to check their official documentation and see if they mention where you should place their script.
Most analytics scripts are nowadays asynchronous so is not going to affect your site speed.
You can use the wp_head/wp_footer hooks to add scripts to head/footer of your siteSorry but I didn’t understand your second question.
Do you want to create new shortcodes?December 19, 2018 at 6:47 pm #2935adminKeymasterThis reply has been marked as private.December 19, 2018 at 9:10 pm #2940ellis2611ParticipantHi. Flytonic casino review plugin has a build in short code generator.
If I create a table with 5 casinos, I can make a shortcode of it and place this in my posts and pages.
If I ever want to change the table, then I only have to edit the shortcode instead of editing tons of pages.
Check Flytonic Review plugin. It has the same Feature. Shortcoder plugin works also, so never mind ok.I can place statcounter in header or footer. But with this theme, if I place it in footer I see no hits.
So something is blocking it from proper tracking. I will check this out tonight.Thank you for helping me out

December 21, 2018 at 5:13 pm #2960adminKeymasterHi Ellis,
Regarding the shortcode generator the logic behind Poka is a little bit different, we have a different opinion for shortcodes that are linked with a specific shortcode post because for every shortcode you want to create you need to create a shortcode post first.
We want to give the ability for our shortcodes to be completely independent, it’s a matter of perspective mostly.A solution that I can suggest if you want to display for example 5 reviews in a shortcode and place this shortocode in 10 pages and let’s say every week you want these reviews to change is the following:
Create a taxonomy and assign your reviews to this taxonomy, then use this taxonomy in your shortcode in order to display your 5 selected reviews.
After that when you need to change these 5 reviews just change the assigned reviews to this taxonomy and you don’t need to make any changes to the shortcodes parameters! 🙂Regarding the statcounter I can’t be sure what’s wrong but I’m 99% sure that Poka is not the issue. Most probably check your caching plugins because in most cases this is the reason for these issues.

You learned me something new today! Thank you for the explanation about taxonomys!
Never knew this before! So in the weekend I’m going to check this out.Regarding statcounter, I don’t know but it is tracking perfectly with the plugin.
It is loading as you already mentioned async so leave it it the header.Once again thank you for helping me out!
Wishing you and your team a merry Christmas.
