    Hi,

Our site is in Spanish, and so I was creating the new .po and .mo files for Spanish.

Today, I was supposed to go to this directory (/wp-content/themes/forexoptions/languages) to add new es_ES.po and es_ES.mo files.

However, I accidentally went into this directory (/wp-content/languages) and replaced the existing es_ES.po and es_ES.mo files with the new es_ES.po and es_ES.mo files.

Is there a way to recover the original es_ES.po and es_ES.mo files under /wp-content/languages? Will erasing the original es_ES.po and es_ES.mo files cause structural damage to the site?

    Thanks

    Hi Yuji,

As it seems you accidentally replaced the default WordPress translations.
There is no structural damage, you just delete the files and when you change the language from the Dashboard WordPress is going to download the translation files again! 🙂
