A few minor things bugged on my ForexOptions child theme after upgrading to parent poka 3.1.0

All the favicons on socials, scoll to the top of the page, etc are now blank/missing

and the default forexoptions stars changed to the pokatheme stars in the reviews –

How do I fix them?

Hi!

For various reasons from the version of PokaTheme 3.1.0 and after we made FontAwesome library to be optional.
If you go to Theme Options and enable the option “Enable Font Awesome for the theme” the icons will be fixed.

Hey, there is no Theme Options
and nothing like “Enable Font Awesome for the theme” in Theme Settings.
Could you please elaborate more?

EDIT:
Also when I try to update anything in Theme Settings while using ForexOptions – such as color or font I get a blank page saying this:

“The site is experiencing technical difficulties. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”

When I switch to PokaTheme 3.1 and do the same setting change, everything works normally and changes are kept when I switch back to ForexOptions

Hi!

After updating PokaTheme v3.1.0 please also update the child theme ForexOptions to the latest available version which is v1.0.2
I believe this will solve all your issues! 🙂

Hey,

Updated ForexOptions to 1.0.2

Most of the problems fixed themselves but I face 2 new ones – Font got completely messed up. It’s a lot smaller and looks broken and settings (like font type) do not affect it (they affect only the size, which should be at 14 as it was before)

And the Stars on the ratings became WHITE colour. Kinda strange.

Please advise.

Fixed the fonts.

Can’t find a resolution to the stars having their normal color though.

Hi!

The color of the stars is from the field “Main color” in Visual Settings.
Have you set your preferred color there and clicked “Save”?

Hey,

Yes. That doesn’t apply any changes.
Could you point me where the stars get their color from the sc various file?
I came to conclusion that the problem lies in that file.

Looks like it takes the PokaTheme way of displaying stars but it removes the outer circle which is the color and keeps only the white stars in the middle.

Added custom CSS:

.rating svg {
fill: #colour;
}

and it worked. Hopefully that’ll be enough.
