Hi,
I have a persistent issue with the Pokatheme. My website is being continuously being blocked by my own hosting provider due to an issue with the Affiliate-list block! The reason why the IP got limited temporarily is due to the type and amount of simultaneous requests being made, which increased the resource demand of the website greatly, leading to it exceeding the allocated resources for the account. Such events put the entire server in danger by affecting its stability and performance.

The request is likely triggered when a user is editing a post or page in the WordPress Dashboard and interacts with the “affiliates-list” block. Actions that could trigger this request include:
– Adding the Block: When the user adds the “affiliates-list” block to the post or page.
– Editing the Block: When the user changes the settings or attributes of the “affiliates-list” block.
– Saving the Post/Page: When the user saves the post or page, the editor may make this request to ensure the block is rendered correctly. Can you please suggest a fix for this? This is clearly makes Pokatheme not a viable solution since it breaks down the site and get it blocked.
August 11, 2024 at 2:05 pm #18945KristofferParticipantI’ve been experiencing similar issues with the Affiliate-list/table block. Occasionally, it causes my site to time out when I’m in editor mode. Additionally, the affiliate table block is noticeably slowing down the pages. I’ve contacted support multiple times but haven’t received any response. Given this issue, along with the fact that the theme hasn’t been updated in months, I’ve decided that switching to another theme is the best course of action.

Thanks so much for your reply—it’s really great to hear back from someone as responsive as you, especially when the support team has been less than helpful.
I’ve noticed the same issues; the team hasn’t been responding, and there hasn’t been an update to the theme in months.
Like you, I’m considering moving on to another theme. If you don’t mind sharing, do you have any recommendations? Since the offering in our industry is quite limited, I’m thinking maybe something that’s vanilla, super fast for SEO and coding, and that can work well with plugins for GEO targeting and casino tables.
Thanks again for taking the time to respond. Wishing you the best of luck!

August 21, 2024 at 7:34 pm #18968GilbertoParticipantHi,

August 22, 2024 at 12:31 pm #18969adminKeymasterPlease update to the latest version 4.1.3 and tell me if fixed
August 22, 2024 at 12:35 pm #18970GilbertoParticipantI just updated to 4.1.3 but the problem still persists. This seems to happen when the affiliate list or others are contained within a Pattern Block.
